The Basics
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file your browser stores to remember information between page loads — for example, where you are partway through a booking. This policy covers which cookies thecaptaintaxis.com.au uses, and why.
Cookies We Use
The cookies on this site.
We keep cookie use on this site to what's needed to make it work properly. At present, that's one category:
- Strictly necessary cookies. These hold your booking in progress as you move between steps — for example, your pickup and destination while you choose a vehicle and confirm your fare. They also remember the choice you make in our cookie banner (see below). Without them, the booking flow wouldn't work correctly, so they can't be switched off and don't require your consent.
We don't currently use analytics or marketing cookies on this site. If that changes — for instance, if we later add tools to understand how visitors use the site or to measure our marketing — we'll update this policy before any new cookie is set.
Your Choices
How to control cookies.
You can manage cookies on this site in two ways:
- This site's cookie banner. On your first visit, a banner asks you to accept or decline. Either choice is stored on your device so we don't ask again — but as we only use strictly necessary cookies, both options load the same cookies.
- Your browser settings. Every browser lets you view, block or delete cookies through its privacy menu; check your browser's help pages for steps. Blocking cookies may stop parts of this site, including booking, from working properly.
